Title: Steelhead Fishing in the Santa Ynez River

Year: 1994

Artist: Roger Cooke, Sandy, OR
Location: This mural has been retired

Description: Before the construction of Bradbury Dam at Cachuma Lake in 1953, the Santa Ynez River was one of the great steelhead fishing streams in all of California. Fishermen came from far and wide in an attempt to land the 20-pounders that flourished in the running stream.
